I have heard a lot of things about the furminator, many people say that it is excellent for removing fur from virtually any type of coat. I recently realized that my grandparents had one so I set out to use it on my brittany, beagle mix and beagle and found tha I no more fur then I do by using a stripping knife. (I use a stripping knife on my beagle for shows and have found that it works wonderfully well on medium to short-coated breeds.) Was I using it wrong maybe, or maybe it doesn't work any better than a stripping knife. Looking at the teeth it is kind of built like one.
I have also heard (from dog show people) that they tend to work too well, thinning the dog's coat our more than needed. I was just wondering if anyone had any expericne with these. Any feedback greatly appreicated! |

That's okay! I'm just trying to figure out whether or not it would be worth getting one before I actually go get one lol! That and I'm too lazy to research online, hehe I'm a sad case.
